Antenatal Care

Osborne Park Hospital offers three options for care throughout pregnancy.

Option 1

Care is provided by your General Practitioner (GP) or Endorsed Private Practicing Midwife (EPPM) up to and including the birth (if your GP or EPPM has admitting privileges*) with visits to our antenatal clinic planned at particular stages in the pregnancy.

There is no out-of-pocket cost for hospital services provided by GP obstetricians or the EPPM but there may be consultation costs for antenatal visits at the GP or EPPM consultation rooms.

Option 2

Care is provided by your General Practitioner (GP) or Endorsed Privately Practicing Midwife (EPPM) up to and including the birth (if your GP or EPPM has admitting privileges*) with visits to our antenatal clinic planned at particular stages in the pregnancy.

Option 3

All care in the pregnancy and birth is provided by the hospital. Within this option is the continuity of care model called the Team Midwifery Program.  See the Team Midwifery Program page for more information.

Please note to ensure physical distancing requirements are maintained for safety, we can only allow the patient and one support person/or one child to attend any antenatal clinic appointments.

Osborne Park Hospital acknowledges the Traditional Owners - the Noongar people - the custodians of the land on which we work. We pay respect to their Elders both past and present
