Social workers are trained professionals who work within a multi-disciplinary team that comprises doctors, nurses and allied health professionals.
Social workers are available to help clients and their families manage the practical, personal and emotional issues that may arise due to acute or chronic illness. Their primary roles are to provide counselling, link clients into community resources to help them manage at home and provide information on community agencies and resources that can assist them.
