Media Liaison
The Public Relations Officer of Osborne Park Hospital is responsible for promoting the hospital's work and achievements to the public through good news stories and other media exposure, and for liaison between the hospital and the media.
Events and Visits
The Public Relations Officer coordinates a range of publicity events, including launches and official openings, and visits by politicians and other dignitaries.
Publications
Public Relations responsibilities include producing the OPH campus staff newsletter Northern Lights and editing and coordinating a range of patient information brochures, such as the Patient Information Guide (PDF, 2.41 Mb).
Communication Strategies
The Public Relations Officer also provides:
- communication strategies and programs to promote knowledge and understanding of the hospital;
- advice and assistance to the Hospital Executive and senior managers on public relations and communications matters, and
- speeches, briefings and media release assistance to the Hospital Executive in the exchange of information with stakeholders such as the Department of Health.
