Pre-Admission Clinic

All surgical patients are assessed prior to surgery by the pre-admission clinic nurse.

They receive a comprehensive health assessment and education about their operation and health care. Pre-existing conditions and/or issues are identified to prevent unnecessary cancellations, enabling many patients to be admitted on the day of their operation rather than the night prior.
