Patients who do not have a Medicare number will be charged $339.00 per appointment. Please contact the cashiers office on (08) 6457 8217 and/or your Insurance Company for any queries.
If you have a current Medicare card - this class will be free, please note if you are asked for payment please contact North Metropolitan Health Services - (08) 6457 7991 and report any suspicious activity.
Hospital tour
Take a tour of our maternity ward. Tours of our maternity ward and birthing suites are available every Sunday at 2.00pm. The tour is an opportunity to view the spacious rooms and well-equipped birthing suites. Bookings are required. To join in the tour, please book through the external website by clicking the above button.
Please note: You only need one ticket, and you may bring ONE support person.

Four-week “preparing for birth and baby”
This four-part LIVE ONLINE course is ideal for first time parents, but open to all, and discusses topics including labour and birth, breastfeeding, and parenting. It is taught by experienced and knowledgeable midwives. Each online session is approximately two hours.

This two-part LIVE ONLINE workshop focuses on labour and birth education taught by experienced and knowledgeable midwives. Each online session is approximately two hours.

“Planning a positive caesarean”
This LIVE ONLINE workshop is ideal for anyone having a planned caesarean birth, taught by experienced and knowledgeable midwives. This online session runs for approximately two hours.

“Vaginal birth after caesarean”
This LIVE ONLINE workshop is ideal for parents considering a vaginal birth after having had a caesarean birth, taught by experienced and knowledgeable midwives. This online session runs for approximately two hours.

“Baby care and parenting”
This LIVE ONLINE two-hour workshop is a stand-alone class focusing on supporting parents to learn the fundamentals of caring for their newborn baby, as well as discussing the transition into parenting. This online session runs for approximately two hours.

"It takes a village" grandparents and carers ONLINE workshop
This two-hour session is available to soon-to-be grandparents or carers within your postpartum support system. It covers the latest information on infant care best practice, challenges for new parents and the role of grandparents. This workshop must also be attended by the pregnant woman booked in to King Edward Memorial Hospital.

Preparing for birth and baby... AGAIN!
This LIVE ONLINE two-hour workshop is presented by experienced clinical midwives and covers the preparation and excitement of adding another addition to your family. We help you plan and prepare for labour, birth, infant feeding, sleeping and introducing baby to your other children.

Antenatal Musculoskeletal Clinic @ OPH
A short one-off appointment with a Women's Health Physiotherapist for pregnancy related pain. You can attend without a referral if you are delivering at Osborne Park Hospital. These sessions are run every Thursday. Further appointments can be booked only after discussion with the physiotherapist. Contact OPH Physiotherapy on (08) 6457 8059 if you require assistance.

Healthy pregnancy exercise class @ OPH
For every mum delivering at OPH or KEMH from 14 weeks to 40 weeks can attend. Run every Thursday 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm. Wear comfy clothes, closed in shoes and have a water bottle ready. When you attend your first class, you will need to bring a consent form signed by your doctor or midwife stating that your pregnancy is low risk, and it is safe for you to exercise.

Pregnancy, birth and beyond (in person over 2 nights) @ OPH
These are physiotherapy run practical sessions for pregnant women and support people which include: relaxation and pain management techniques, breathing awareness, positioning for first and second stages of labour, massage, pelvic floor education, pregnancy aches and pains and essential exercises, post-natal advice, baby handling and baby massage.

Postnatal education class (online)
Must be attended prior to the postnatal exercise class. Women who have delivered their baby at OPH or KEMH (and have Medicare) are welcome to attend this education and introduction to exercise class. This class can be attended at any time after delivery and includes information relevant to the early postnatal period. The class runs via MS Teams.

Postnatal exercise class @ OPH
Patients must attend one postnatal education class prior to their first postnatal exercise class. The physiotherapist will provide postnatal education, complete all necessary paperwork and ensure your tummy muscles and pelvic floor muscles have been checked prior to commencing the postnatal exercise class. Bookings for both the education class and exercise class are essential.
Breastfeeding workshops offered by the Breastfeeding Centre of WA

These classes are open to public patients across the state. The breastfeeding workshops are held online in small group settings and provide a practical session for all pregnant women.
Bookings are essential, please book in early to avoid disappointment. Please see booking system for specific dates. Your partner or support person is welcome to attend our classes with you.

LIVE ONLINE class for parents, runs fortnightly on a Wednesday by a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

Helping your baby to breastfeed
LIVE ONLINE class for parents, runs from 11am to 12 pm, Monday to Friday by a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

Breastfeeding and diabetes
LIVE ONLINE class for parents, runs weekly on a Tuesday, by a Lactation Consultant from the Breastfeeding Centre of WA.
Overseas patient fees
Hospital fees for patients who are not eligible for Medicare are set by the WA Department of Health. Overseas visitors and overseas students are required to pay for the cost of their care. More information about overseas patient fees.
