Osborne Park Hospital expansion

Osborne Park Hospital is undergoing a major expansion of its women and newborn services.

Osborne Park Hospital expansion

As part of the New Women and Babies Hospital Project (NWBHP), Osborne Park Hospital will undergo a major expansion of its women and newborn service, which will provide capacity for double the number of births at this site.

In May 2025, Premier Roger Cook announced that Webuild (external site) had been appointed as the managing contractor with preliminary site investigation work commencing in June 2025.

Once complete, upgrades to the hospital will include:

  • expanded services for maternity, gynaecology and neonatology
  • a mother baby unit to support the mental health of expectant and new mothers
  • a family birth centre
  • obstetrics theatres
  • upgraded support services including pharmacy, pathology, sterilisation, kitchen and catering services
  • outpatient clinics.

Work on the project will be undertaken in a staged approach to minimise the disruption for staff, patients and visitors.

The NWBHP includes the construction of a world-class Women and Babies Hospital on land within the Fiona Stanley Hospital precinct.

For more information on the project visit New Women and Babies Hospital Project (external site).

Current parking impacts

From mid-August, visitor carpark 4 and staff carpark 3 located adjacent to Limosa Close will close to establish a construction compound.

The closest visitor parking to carpark 4 is available in carpark 1 or in front of A Block.

Two additional carparks will open adjacent carpark 8 near Civic Place.

Throughout the project, the total number of visitor parking bays at Osborne Park Hospital will be unaffected.

Further updates will be provided as the project progresses.
